Used as a PLC interface device, leading manufacturer of relays and timers Finder’s 38.52 relay interface module is a 2-pole device that increases versatility over the existing single pole 38.51 module, reduces space requirements, and reduces system and design costs in the process.
Aimed at control panel builders, system integrators, OEMs and end users, the 38.52 is used primarily – but by no means exclusively - as an interface between PLCs and other types of electronic controllers and the external circuits and components that they are switching.
Designed to match and fit alongside the 38.51, the DIN rail mounted 38.52 is neatly packaged in the form of a profiled housing with integral LED coil indication and protection circuitry, plus a retaining and release clip. The 38.52 also has the benefit of an 8-way jumper link for rapid connection between common terminals, reducing installation and maintenance time.
Offering high switching capacity and suitability for use with solenoids and other inductive loads, the 38.52’s contacts are rated at 8A at 250VAC. DC and AC/DC versions of the device are available.
With its integral LED indicator and protection circuitry, the device removes the need for wiring of additional components for coil suppression and indication. Similarly, the unit’s built in retaining and release clip facilitates easy removal of the relay even where components are tightly packed on DIN rail.
Just 14mm wide, the 38.52’s provision of a separate connection point for a jumper link keeps screw terminals clear for wiring whilst removing the need for time consuming linking of common circuits.
